2018 ~ Why The Old Year Needs To Be Gone

The year of disappointments

Disappointments in others, but mainly myself

It needs to be gone

The year I failed to prosper

The year I failed to succeed

It needs to be gone

The year the negatives won over the positives in my life

It needs to be gone

The year spent alone

Without a companion to call my own

It needs to be gone

The year our loved one left this world

Moving on to a place we can only imagine

And never visit

It needs to be gone

The year that began with hopes and dreams

But ended with unbearable grief

It needs to be gone

The year everyone thought would be “The One”

For whatever that meant for them

Only to never arrive

It needs to be gone

What needs to enter now

Fresh and new

Like the breath of a new born baby

Is a New Year……2019 

May it be all the dreams fulfilled that its predecessor was not

May we enter it with love and eyes wide open

May we live it boldly without fear

May we end it 365 days later feeling accomplished like never before

May we all learn to love harder than ever before

In every area of life!
